🔨 Creating linked open usable data with Metafacture

Facilitator(s)

Tobias BĂĽlte (@tobiasNx), Pascal Christoph (@dr0i)

Abstract

Metafacture is a powerful free and open source ETL tool: it is used to transform, enrich and clean metadata.
Many serializations and formats common to the GLAM world are supported – missing ones can be easily added through Metafacture’s modular architecture.

In this workshop, participants will learn how to transform their metadata into JSON-LD. Working with your own data should help you learn Metafacture.

We are following a flipped class-room approach: You prepare by following the first 5–6 lessons of the Metafacture tutorial. You bring your own data examples and together we will process your data.

Hi participants,

@dr0i and I are looking forward to the workshop.

I wanted to highlight the following:

We are following a flipped class-room approach: You prepare by following the first 5–6 lessons of the Metafacture tutorial. You bring your own data examples and together we will process your data.

If you have any questions about the tutorial or find any bugs, do not hesitate and contact us here.

Additionally:

It would be great if you tell us about the data that you usually work with.

Also please share your data examples, so that we could upload them for easy reuse in the workshop.

If you do not bring data examples we probably can provide you with a fitting one.

Dear participants,

we will meet here:

I have also added the BBB link to the event description in the original post.
